ABOUT ME
I'm a government and nonprofit executive who excels at maximizing operational efficiency and finding creative solutions to problems worth solving. Currently, I serve as the VP of Strategy for CivicMakers, a public sector innovation consulting firm that specializes in strategic planning, design thinking, change management, and process improvement for large municipalities like the cities of San Francisco, Berkeley, and San Jose. Recently, I finished serving in my second interim executive director position for two local environmental nonprofits. My job was similar to a turnaround specialist – to take struggling nonprofits and quickly instill best-practices, create a team culture, and ensure fiscal health. I've held c-suite positions with multiple nonprofits including Environmental Volunteers, Slide Ranch, the American Red Cross, More than Me as well as one government agency (the Minnesota Zoo). Recognized for excellence by being named a 2014 Humphrey School Policy Fellow, 2014 White House Innovation Fellow finalist, and 2012 winner of the Minnesota Idea Open.
